It’s officially been two weeks of hard work out and the right eating habits and I can already feel the results. The first difference is that I didn’t completely die at my personal training session this morning, which is a huge bonus!
I have managed to do four training sessions and three spinning classes, and I a SUPER impressed with myself! It makes a huge difference to keep motivated when you know someone is waiting for you and is there showing you the right exercises.
Ok, let’s be honest there have been days where Alex has pushed me so hard that I’ve wanted to tell him where he can “stick the extra few stomach crunches” or the “extra push up” . It’s all worth it though when you start noticing the changes with your body. For the first time is a few years I can say I officially have BICEPS!!! I can’t wait for the day when I don’t have “Opera Arms”.. hee hee
My challenge this weekend is to try keep up with the low calorie diet, I always find it harder on the weekend because most of the time you are not at home and it’s difficult to find the right foods.
Well let’s see if I can do it.
It’s been almost a month since the last time I gave you an update on my fitness challenge, all is going great. I joined up with fitness first as I told you in my last update and have decide to take on a personal trainer full time. YES it is quiet pricy, I must admit but so far worth every cent… or should I say Pent.
Alex is a wonderful trainer; he is teaching me all about nutrition and what are the right and wrong things to be eating. I’m on a 1400 calorie diet which is actually turning out to be great. I have researched online and found the most amazing recipes that you wouldn’t think where so low in calories.
I’m trying to go to gym 4 times a week, if not 3 minimum, two training sessions and two spinning sessions, the spinning will help me to burn the calories and the training is to tone up.
Alex says I can reach my goal weigh by Christmas, wanted to lose 20kg is not small task so I hope he is right.
Sometime one has to face the realisation that they cant do it alone. I took on a fitness challenge to get myself fit without the use of a gym. As you may see by my blog that lasted a hole of six days.
So I’ve changed the challenge, to get FIT, HEALTHY and the most important SLIM by any way possible.
On Monday I decided to sign up for a free 1 day pass to FitnessFirst in Covent Gardens and LOVED IT. The staff were friendly the equipment new and all in all I had a great workout. After enquiring about the cost involved I thought it was a little pricey so I decided to do a little research on other gyms in the area, and came to the conclusion that FitnessFirst is value for money. With all the facilities and convenience it was the best option for me. On Tuesday I took the big step and signed up, was very surprised to see all the added extras that come with the membership.
OK, I have to confess I’m a sucker for free things but loved the new fitness bag, water bottle and gym towel I got straight away. I was then informed I had three free personal traniner sessions, Health advice, and a full guide to getting fit.
This morning was my first session with the trainer. Lets just say, I think I’m going very stiff tomorrow. Alex was amazing he was helpful, friendly and had all the advise I was looking for.
Friday is day two… will keep you updated on how it goes, that is if I can get out of bed tomorrow.
